in autonomous mobile service robots and next-generation mobility −
ZMP INC. (Head Office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo,
CEO: Hisashi Taniguchi, henceforth ZMP) and GeckoSystems International Corporation (Head office: Georgia,
CEO: Martin Spencer, henceforth GSIC), signed a memorandum
of understanding of technical exchange and joint marketing in international and
then agreed to negotiate toward collaboration.
We are considering joint
projects in the field of mobile service robots, autonomous mobile wheelchair
and autonomous mobile vehicles and so on. We are aiming to develop technologies
and products that support disabilities and elderly for safe and comfortable life.
In addition, since
August 2011, ZMP INC. has been recruiting and management robot motion control
technologies with HIRAYAMA & Company International Patent, Design &
Trademark Attorneys (henceforth HIRAYAMA). Also on this agreement, HIRAYAMA
will allocate outcomes and management intellectual property depending on the
degree of contribution.
