Purpose

Hinomaru Kotsu as a taxi operator and ZMP of Autonomous Driving technology jointly carried out public road service trials using the world's first Autonomous Driving taxi in Central Tokyo. By receiving a series of experiences such as Autonomous Driving taxi reservation, riding, and settlement using the user's own smartphone. It aims to give users a wide range of practical use images of commercial services of Autonomous Driving taxi in the near future.

· Autonomous Driving vehicle platform RoboCar® SUV
RoboCar® SUV is a product modified by program so that steering, accelerator and brake can be operated. It is based on SUV vehicles popular in taxis and hire services. With an additional option, it also supports emergency brakes and surround cameras.
· Autonomous Driving vehicle platform RoboCar® MiniVan
RoboCar® MiniVan is also a product that can handle steering, accelerator and brake by program in the same way. This product is utilized as the base vehicle of the demonstration experiment of Autonomous Driving carried out all over the country and it is a product which can be arbitrarily moved by the control algorithm developed.

About the Sensing system supporting Autonomous Driving


· Super high sensitivity stereo camera system RoboVision®2s
RoboVision®2s is a stereo camera that can easily acquire images in development-Image processing technology. It is introduced to more than 100 companies and universities, we also have software environment (sample software, software development kit) and contribute to the development using stereo camera
· Stereo camera system for Autonomous Driving RoboVision®3
RoboVision®3 is a camera which is equipped with the latest Sony COMS image sensor IMX390, two telephoto and wide angle stereo cameras, maximum measuring distance of 150 m, horizontal viewing angle of 100°. It can be used for the detection of oncoming vehicles from a distance when turning right at the intersection which was difficult in the past and for wide detection of pedestrians and vehicles at the intersection right turn.
· 360° surrounding image measurement Surround RoboVision®
"Surround RoboVision®" consists of 4 stereo cameras of 2 eyes. Utilizing this product, you can acquire images synchronized on time with 4 stereo cameras at maximum 30 fps. This is a product that can be applied to distance measurement of peripheral objects using parallax from the measured stereo camera image and development of object detection algorithm.

A stereo camera capable of sensing a distance of 150 m and a horizontal viewing angle of 110 °.
