Introduction aimed at labor saving at construction sites "No prior prepeartion required" "Easy to operate"
1. Company Introduction
Maeda Construction Industry completes its 100 years in 2019 and is engaged in contracting, planning, surveying, designing, construction, supervision and consulting of domestic and foreign civil engineering construction and other construction work in general as a major project.
２． Business issues
Yoshiaki Yasui, General Manager, Product Research Innovation Laboratory, Technical Research Institute, commented on the issues before CarriRo was introduced as follows.
Since it is a construction industry the work site can change , so the introduction of stationary equipment was difficult. On the other hand, recent problems of talent shortage also occurred at construction sites.
While labor saving and labor saving by automated equipment is a top proposition and it was hard to be able to deal with environments that are not always maintained like roads especially in construction sites.
３． Reason for introducing CarriRo®

４. The effectiveness after introducing CarriRo
Its been a year since the use of CarriRo and we have been able to use it without any problems even at the construction site as expected. We are evaluating the fact that no force is required at all compared with the usual hand-operated trolleys that we used in the past. Moreover, we feel that field workers also have awareness towards future automation by touching a robot like CarriRo.
５． CarriRo Future development
Our request to ZMP is should be able to carry more heavy loads and ability to drive outdoors etc. We are hoping for suggestions and developments that will make these requests fulfilled. We are also expecting to realize "labor saving" from "Autonomous Moving CarriRo" to "Unmanned".
