1. Company Introduction
Maeda Construction Industry, which completes its 100 years in 2019, is engaged in contracting, planning, surveying, designing, construction, supervision and consulting of domestic and foreign civil engineering construction and other construction work in general as a major project.
２． Business problem before CarriRo introduction
Yoshiaki Yasui, General Manager, Product Research Innovation Laboratory, Technical Research Institute, commented on the issues before CarriRo was introduced as follows.
Approximately one year has passed since CarriRo introduction, but we have been able to use it without problems even at the construction site as originally expected. We are evaluating the fact that no force is required at all compared with the usual hand-operated trolleys that we used in the past. Moreover, we feel that field workers also have awareness towards future automation by touching a robot like CarriRo.
５． Next Deployment
In the verification so far, we have requested that we want to carry more heavy loads, we want to be able to drive outdoors, etc. These were our request to ZMP. We are hoping for suggestions and developments that will make these requests fulfilled. We are also expecting to realize "labor saving" from "autonomous mobile CarriRo" to "unmanned".
