What is a logistics system?

Six basic activities that make up logistics

Delivery management system

The delivery management system is for monitoring and managing the process from shipment to delivery, visualizing the delivery status and flexibly handling it. With this delivery management system, you can quickly monitor delivery status and respond to changes in delivery status and delivery time.
Warehouse management system
WMS is the abbrevation of Warehouse management system.

The purpose of the warehouse management system is mainly to manage actual “things” and is used to manage products, materials, and inventory.

There are three important points when managing goods and materials in the warehouse.

There are three things: how many “are in (stock)”, how many to “take out (ships)”, and how many to keep “enter (goods)”.

Introducing WMS eliminates human errors that can occur due to visual inspection or human power, such as whether the items that are delivered when entering or leaving the store are correct or whether the wrong items are received.

Material handling system
Material Handling System (MHS) is aimed at streamlining transportation and utilizing transportation methods to improve economy and productivity in every case, time and place in the transportation of goods and goods.

The material handling system is a systemization of materials. In material handling, handling of things is reduced as much as possible, while minimizing movement distance, optimizing inventory levels, minimizing human errors, minimizing property damage, etc.​ ​

As a representative method, there are efforts to improve work efficiency based on the worker's business practices, such as improving storage efficiency by reviewing space and picking efficiency by reviewing the location of shelves and shelves.
Picking system
Picking is the act of collecting the products necessary for shipping and processing in the required place.

In the past, it was done manually by referring to the number of necessary parts on the inventory shelf organized by product number.
Currently, the basic picking system manages products by barcode using a handy terminal such as a barcode reader.

Each time a product is received, moved or shipped, the product is managed with a barcode, so the location of the product can be converted to data in real time, and input and editing operations on the terminal are made more efficient. Automation also reduces errors in product inventory management.

By introducing the above picking system, for example the work done by two peolple can be done by one person.

In addition, since the number of stocks can be found in real time like which products / shelves / how many, thus anyone can easily find the products they need. In addition, by utilizing the latest VR, AR technology and IoT technology, the location and quantity of items to be picked will be visualized, and even beginners will be able to easily pick.
Inventory management system
The inventory management system is mainly used in the manufacturing industry to grasp inventory information, warehouse information, inventory shortage information, etc.

The main purpose of the inventory management system is to reduce the inventory management work that was previously managed with paper management tables and slips.

In paper management tables and slips, there is a possibility that paper may be lost or a person forgets to update the information and the number of stocks does not match the substance.

For this reason, it is important to have an appropriate inventory in inventory management. Recently, there are an increasing number of systems that calculate the appropriate value of inventory based on information such as warehouse information and inventory shortage information.

In addition, an inventory management system using RFID, which is a tag with ID information embedded, is attracting attention as a real-time inventory management system because it can manage the number of items without contact.
Logistics information system
This system integrates the information of the system introduced above and integrates the entire system, such as providing cargo tracking information, selling goods, and receiving order information.

Logistics information systems are used in areas such as transport and handling equipment control, processing of transport and storage procedures, information provision services, etc. for quick and accurate processing, grasping information on the progress and inventory status of transport, and distribution costs. Effects such as saving and prevention of troubles on transactions are expected.

In addition, with the progress of socio-economic informatization and knowledge consolidation, the use of information systems formed by combining computers and communication lines in logistics is expected to play a major role in streamlining and improving efficiency.
Logistics robot system
