Started to receive orders for the new model of Logistics support robot CarriRo® AD+


ZMP Inc. in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo (CEO, Hisashi Taniguchi) has started to receive orders for the CarriRo® AD +.The conventional CarriRo® AD, which had a maximum load of 150 kg or 300 kg of traction, can now carry a maximum load of 200 kg and 600 kg of tow, achieving a maximum payload of 800 kg, more than twice the previous one. Also, the CarriRo® AD + releases both a trolley type with a conventional handle and a pallet loading type in which the handle is removed and the lower surface of the pallet carriage is transported. The pallet loading type has a function to automatically separate the pallet cart at a specific location and a remote control function that can be operated by a tablet while riding on a forklift.

By using this new model, the following can be attained.
・ Use the bogie type to improve transport efficiency by pulling together two or more basket carts, slim carts, etc.
・ Use the dolly type to reduce the burden on workers and save labor by pulling the load on the particularly heavy pallet together with the hand lift.
・ Use pallets instead of forklifts.Using a pallet loading type, reduces the number of forklifts and also save labor​

This model will be shipped from December 2019. The price is planned to be 73,000 yen / month (excluding tax) for the trolley type and 82,000 yen / month (excluding tax) for the pallet loading type with a 5-year lease.

The logistics support robot CarriRo® is a product developed using ZMP 's Autonomous Driving technology. The purpose of CarriRo® is to save labor and increase efficiency by reducing load of carrying work in the logistics industry because of labor shortage due to the declining birthrate and aging population. The logistics support robot CarriRo® is particularly used in the logistics industry where human labor shortage is a severe crisis. Currently, CarriRo® has a track record of more than 100 users since the start of its sales and after the introduction of Autonomous Moving mode in November last year. CarriRo® has not only introduced in logistics bases and factories but also in-service industries like hotel.
