Overview · Features

RoboCar® MV 2 is based on TOYOTA CORPORATION's ultra small electric car "COMS", with ZMP original control controller · automatic steering system · automatic braking system. It is an ultra small electric vehicle for experiments which enables control of steering, accelerator and brake by computer.
We have prepared a library that can control vehicle speed, brakes, steering wheel operation etc., so that users can do research and development of applications such as obstacle avoidance, autonomous driving, remote control etc. smoothly.
We are using it for research and development of driving support technology and preventive safety technology, evaluation of our products and technologies, etc., at research institutes such as automobiles and parts manufacturers and universities.

What is a micro electric vehicle (micro EV)?

Ultra compact electric vehicles are four-wheeled motorized bicycles with single passenger cars classified as mini cars (Road Trucking Vehicle Law), and can be driven with a driver's license of a regular car.

What is a minicar
Three or more ordinary cars with a cabin having a total length of 2.5 m or less, a total width of 1.3 m or less, a total height of 2.0 m or less, a total displacement of more than 20 cc and 50 cc or less, or a rated output exceeding 0.25 kW and 0.6 kW or less. According to the Road Traffic Law, it is treated as normal car, so the maximum legal speed is 60 km / h. Under the Road Trucking Vehicle Law is moped, mandatory vehicle liability insurance is handled as originals and there is no vehicle inspection. Garage proof of registration is unnecessary.
