New service category CarriRo® Creation for Logistics support services

- Categorized all CarriRo® brand products under CarriRo® Creation -

ZMP Inc. in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo (CEO, Hisashi Taniguchi, hereinafter ZMP) has redesigned its product and service system and added a new category CarriRo® Creation.

CarriRo® Creation provides products and services necessary for solving logistics problems through sales of logistics support robots and home delivery robots.

In this category, we deal with two products. CarriRo®, a logistics support robot that has begun mass-production sales from 2016 and CarriRo® Deli aiming to commercialize the first home delivery robot service in Japan.

Logistics support robot CarriRo®

The logistics support robot CarriRo® is particularly used in the logistics industry where human labor shortage is a severe crisis. CarriRo® has a track record of more than 100 users since the start of its sales and after the addition of Autonomous Moving model in November last year.


Delivery robot CarriRoⓇ Deli

CarriRo® Deli, a delivery robot concept was put forward for the purpose of providing services like food delivery and convenience store delivery.We have been carrying out demonstration experiments considering the convenience of customers and shops. In the future, in order to put these services into practical use, creative operation in various industries is expected. Currently, we are looking for a business partner aiming for commercialization.

Two products which were handled in different categories are put together under this new category.We will provide necessary services and information to our customers.

Through CarriRo® Creation service, ZMP will provide products and services necessary for solving logistics problems.

【Logistics support robot CarriRo®】

CarriRo® is a bogie type logistic support robot which is available in two different modes.The autonomous movement function and a following function.The latter can be operated using a joystick to move in karugamo mode which automatically follows a beacon (transmitter). By utilizing the CarriRo® function, it is possible to raise the transport productivity up to about 3 times. With CarriRo® alone you can carry baggage of up to 150 kg, CarriRo® with an optional tow jig can carry about 300 kg of baggage for 8 hours in a row, improving the efficiency of picking operations in warehouses and distribution centers.It is also possible to substitute a belt conveyor or AGV (automatic guided vehicle) by using it for inter-process conveyance in the factory. Since the start of sales,there has been a track record of more than 100 users.The Autonomous moving mode has not only introduced in logistics bases and factories but also in service industries like hotel.

【Delivery robot CarriRoⓇ Deli】

ZMP aims to eliminate the problem of the last one mile of logistics by applying the Autonomous Driving technology cultivated through the Autonomous Driving technology development of automobiles. We have developed "CarriRo ® Deli, a home delivery robot that moves on the sidewalk autonomously", and have carried out demonstration experiments. CarriRo ® Deli carries a home delivery box, automatically runs at a maximum speed of 6 km while recognizing the surrounding environment 360 degrees with a camera or laser sensor and delivers the package to the destination.
