ZMP Corporation (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Taniguchi Hisashi , hereinafter "ZMP") introduced the Autonomous Driving system RoboCarMiniVan and IZAC to Kyushu Institute of Technology Innovation Promotion Organization (Professor Ning Sato), developed at Kyushu Institute of Technology.It is utilized in experiments linked with noncontact sensors in. RoboCar MiniVan vehicle and system configuration image introduced to Kyushu Institute of Technology

This initiative of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and the Ministry of Regional Innovation - in response to the adoption of the Deployment eco-system formation program (H28_nendo) and regional science and technology demonstration bases Development Project (H28_nendo), information analysis and of the non-contact biometric sensor.We are engaged in research and development on safe driving support for the first time in the world that is interlocked. The Autonomous Driving system provided by Kyushu Institute of Technology is linked with a noncontact biometric sensor developed by Kyushu Institute of Technology and has a function to automatically send a detection signal to an Autonomous Driving vehicle when it detects dozing by a sensor. Cooperation between non-contact heart rate sensor and Autonomous Driving is developed as a function expected to be put into practical use in the future.
Products sold to Kyushu Institute of Technology include ZMP stereo cameras "RoboVision 2s", Zoom camera, posture sensor (IMU), 3D-LiDAR, GPS, etc. to make the Autonomous Driving vehicle platform RoboCar MiniVan recognize surrounding environment of the various sensors, and can issue a command to integrate the information from these sensors vehicle Autonomous Driving will be integrated computer "IZAC". We also developed an "automatic stop mode" in which information is sent from a non-contact sensor developed by Kyushu Institute of Technology to this Autonomous Driving vehicle, and the vehicle is stopped by Autonomous Driving road shoulder of the road.
At present, the sensors that are being experimented with RoboCar MiniVan are noncontact living body (radio) sensors, posture sensors such as a cushion to check the posture of the driver by seat seating. With non-contact sensors, it is expected to detect driver 's sudden seizure state etc by monitoring the condition of the passenger such as disorder of heartbeat. In addition, posture sensors are developed for the purpose of detecting doze from patterns such as posture abnormality.

The latest situation of this experiment is planned to be spoken by Professor Nori Sato at Kyushu Institute of Technology on July 20 (Friday) on the third day of the "10th ZMP Forum" to be held from Wednesday, July 18.

ZMP offers RoboCar MiniVan based on a minivan hybrid car as an Autonomous Driving development plot form from 2015. RoboCar MiniVan and ZMP own the public road experiments introduced here as a package for carrying out Autonomous Driving offers such as technology development platform IZAC. We have been providing support to many research institutions and demonstration experiments of autonomous operation by companies promoting research and development of autonomous operation.
We will continue to contribute to the development of autonomous driving technology through provision of an autonomous driving development platform and support with demonstration experiments.
