Announcement of the collaboration of logistics support robot CarriRo® AD with ROBO-HI®, a cloud service for automated driving

Cloud service ROBO-HI®​ ​

ZMP Inc. in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo (CEO, Hisashi Taniguchi, hereinafter ZMP) will announce Collaboration of CarriRo® with ROBO-HI®, a cloud service proven as a dispatch management system for automated driving vehicles and delivery robots. There are two main functions linked with CarriRo® and ROBO-HI®: visualization of operation status and simultaneous control of multiple units.

·​ ​Visualization of operation status
It consists of real time operation monitoring and productivity report. Real-time performance monitoring includes real-time location information, driving status, and status of each CarriRo®. The battery level can be determined, and even if the CarriRo® is away from people, you can immediately grasp the situation and take measures. Also, in productivity reports, information such as working hours and mileage can be summarized as data in categories such as daily, weekly, monthly etc. It becomes possible to manage from the operation rate of each CarriRo® to the calculation of cost-effectiveness.

·​ ​Simultaneous control of multiple units
When using multiple CarriRo® at the same time in a warehouse or factory, it is possible to run according to a certain rule mutually, or to use CarriRo® in a specific place. This makes it possible to perform smooth mutual cooperation and interactive movements that match human movements, contributing to higher productivity.

The service is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2019. Detailed service plans and sales start date will be introduced at ZMP World 2019 2nd July 24th (Wednesday) 10:40 am to 11:10 am " CarriRo®'s new cloud service, ROBO-HI® collaboration announcement to provide network environment, enabling visualization of operation status and simultaneous multiple machine control”. In addition, we will demonstrate the actual machine and the operation method at the first CarriRo® EXPO which is held simultaneously.

At the 1st CarriRo® EXPO, we will demonstrate the CarriRo® AD, an autonomous moving model and the latest model CarriRo® AD + (plus). The demonstration includes the introduction of the digital picking system in the picking area and linkage with the Visual Warehouse® that optimizes the wire in the warehouse, and in the inspection and shipping area, demonstration of automatic towing by using external linkage function and unmanned inspection work by RFID.Please join us to experience the forefront of logistics.

[About the logistics support robot CarriRo®]


The logistics support robot CarriRo® is a product developed using ZMP 's Autonomous Driving technology. The purpose of CarriRo® is to save labor and increase efficiency by reducing load of carrying work in the logistics industry because of labor shortage due to the declining birthrate and aging population.
