Launches Logistics support robot CarriRo® packages to support new logistics centers and factories

ZMP Inc. in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo (CEO, Hisashi Taniguchi) will begin providing support packages for newly installed CarriRo® logistics centers and factories.

Because CarriRo® can be used in any place regardless of location, it has been widely used in existing logistics centers and factories.

On the other hand, by utilizing it at a newly established logistics center and factory, it becomes possible to operate using the features of CarriRo® to the maximum, shortening the period until full-scale operation, the number of customers who have achieved higher operational effects has increased. Up to now, 10 companies have installed CarriRo® at sites such as newly established logistics centers and factories, and the total number of bases is 100,000.

The advantages of introducing the new base are as follows.
・ Securing of optimal transfer conductors with automated transfer
・ Ensuring optimal passage width suitable for CarriRo® movement
・ Ensuring equipment-side linkage specifications such as elevators and automatic doors to utilize external device linkage functions
・ Securing an internet communication environment to utilize Robo-HI®, a cloud service that enables operation visualization and simultaneous control of multiple units

Therefore, based on the know-how cultivated in such introduction cases for newly established logistics centers and factories for customers who will establish a new base in the future and are considering introducing AGV and automatic transfer robot, we will provide a series of flow from operation verification to after-following as an introduction support package.

The contents of this introduction support package are as follows.
・ Simulation of layout and number based on optimal operation of CarriRo®
・ Consultation for building external equipment and internet communication environment *
・ Application of preferential prices based on the number of units installed
・ Free introduction support such as landmark installation work at the time of introduction
* Depending on the contents of the request, there may be cases where an external specialist company is involved.

The costs associated with the introduction of CarriRo®, linkage with equipment, and communication included in the above contents will be incurred.

The logistics support robot CarriRo® is a product developed using ZMP 's Autonomous Driving technology. The purpose of CarriRo® is to save labor and increase efficiency by reducing load of carrying work in the logistics industry because of labor shortage due to the declining birthrate and aging population.
