ZMP Inc. in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo (CEO, Hisashi Taniguchi) to hold a briefing session for Mobility partner Robocar® Walk and Delivery robot CarriRo® Deli.
This introduction briefing session will be held as a pre-registration system as an opportunity for more companies, and we will explain and demonstrate the product. As for Robocar® Walk, you can actually experience autonomous driving mobility on the sidewalk around the ZMP office.
Robocar® Walk and CarriRo® Deli are both low-speed Autonomous Driving mobility that can be put to practical use at an early stage.
Applying the advanced Autonomous Driving technology developed by ZMP in the development of Autonomous Driving vehicles, it moves in a speed up to 6km/h, detect obstacles such as people and cars on the driving route while recognizing the surrounding environment, and is able for appropriate movement control such as stopping and avoiding is performed.
In addition, it has a unique design. While performing Autonomous movement, it can also communicate with passing people with smiling face. This makes it possible to coexist with people in a safer and smoother way.
Robocar® Walk is a completely new travel partner. Users can easily move to their destinations by simply specifying their destination with the provided tablet.
When social issues such as inbound increases and shortage of human resources due to aging are growing, RakuRo can be used at the large-scale facilities in airport, stations, commercial facilities such as sightseeing spots, large shopping centers, hotel / resort facilities, tourist services, etc.
CarriRo® Deli is a home delivery robot that creates a new lifestyle, such as solving the problem of the last mile of logistics and supporting daily shopping. The maximum load capacity is 50kg, and we will respond to various usage scenes and delivery needs such as delivery items and beverages.
ZMP is working toward mass production with the aim of making these low-speed Autonomous Driving mobility a part of new social infrastructure services.
